Bohemian style has always had a wanderer’s soul. It doesn’t belong to one place or one moment, but it shows up at festivals, on cobblestone streets, on beach cliffs, and at candlelit dinners on warm evenings.
So it’s no surprise that the boho looks we spotted all over Coachella this year didn’t feel like costumes. They felt like a lifestyle.
And as summer vacation season opens up, they’re ready to travel.

The heart of a boho chic outfit is texture and freedom.
Lace is one of its defining elements: delicate lace tops, lace-trimmed dresses, and lace overlay pieces.

At Coachella, lace showed up everywhere, from barely-there lace bodysuits layered under oversized kimonos to sweet lace midi dresses and miniskirts worn with long boots and stacked belts.
The effect is always feminine, and in the heat, lighter lace pieces actually breathe surprisingly well.

Then there’s fringe.
Fringe hemlines, fringe bags, fringe vests, and fringe boots all had a strong moment at the festival.
What makes fringe so boho is the way it adds rhythm to an outfit. It sways. It catches the breeze.
On vacation, a fringed kimono over a swimsuit or a fringed skirt at a beachside dinner hits that sweet spot between dressed up and totally relaxed.

Other elements that complete the boho formula include flowy maxi skirts and dresses in printed or embroidered fabrics, peasant blouses with billowy sleeves, patchwork denim, wide-brimmed hats, and layered jewellery — think coin necklaces, beaded chokers, layered belts, and armfuls of bangles.
Earthy tones, warm florals, and paisley prints tie everything together.
The fabrics lean natural: cotton, chiffon, and lightweight linen to keep things breathable when the temperature climbs.

What makes boho chic so perfect for a summer holiday is that it requires almost no effort to look intentional.
A flowy dress, a woven bag, layered necklaces, and flat sandals. That’s your airport outfit, your sightseeing look, and your dinner outfit all in one.

Pack a few key pieces, and the outfits build themselves.
From Coachella, here are 40+ bohemian looks that will travel with you everwhere, even if the festival is over.
